Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Horticulturist to manage and enhance the cultivation and maintenance of plants, trees, and landscapes. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in plant care, soil management, and sustainable horticultural practices. This role involves overseeing the growth and health of plants in nurseries, gardens, and greenhouses while ensuring environmental and aesthetic quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Cultivate, propagate, and maintain a variety of plants, including vegetables, flowers, trees, and shrubs.

2. Design, plan, and oversee landscaping projects and horticultural displays.

3. Conduct soil and plant health assessments, recommending appropriate treatments.

4. Develop and implement pest and disease management strategies.

5. Monitor irrigation systems and ensure optimal water usage for plant health.

6. Maintain records of plant inventories, schedules, and growth conditions.

7. Research and apply new horticultural techniques, tools, and technologies.

8. Train and supervise staff or laborers working in the nursery or garden.

9. Collaborate with clients, landscape architects, or agricultural specialists to meet project goals.

10. Promote sustainable and eco-friendly horticultural practices.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Education:

1. Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Botany, Agriculture, or a related field.

2. Diploma or certifications in horticulture are also acceptable for certain roles.

Experience:

1. Open to freshers with a strong theoretical background in horticulture.

2. Prior experience in a nursery, garden, or agricultural setting is preferred.

Technical Expertise:

1. Knowledge of plant propagation, fertilization, and pest management.

2. Familiarity with horticultural tools, equipment, and irrigation systems.

Analytical Skills:

Ability to analyze soil and plant health data effectively

Physical Stamina:

Willingness to work outdoors and perform physically demanding tasks.

Job Types: Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?16,000.00 per month
