Job Description

Qualification : Post graduate or Graduate in Dairy Technology

Prior Experience : 3 to 5 years' experience in a milk processing plant with a turnover of at least Rs.250 crores having milk powder plant and having dealt with MNC clients as customer for ingredient quality milk powders, fat and other dairy products

Objective of the Role and key responsibilities :

Initially, he will lead the installation and commissioning of new dairy plant of 5 LLPD capacity with state of the art setup. Smooth takeover of the complete plant with complete documentation, including but not limited to fully automatic milk reception and pre-processing section, Milk Powder Plant (both supplied by GEA), butter and ghee, paneer, curd, pouch milk, ice cream.

After plant is commissioned, he will take over complete responsibility for production, production planning, smooth running of the Milk processing, powder plant and product plants, MIS, losses and recovery, yield and ensuring compliance to FSMS and QMS.

Roles & Responsibilities:

To plan, direct, and coordinate the production activities in order to achieve the budgeted production for the year with budgeted efficiency, quality and cost.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning a production schedule based on market requirements

Work closely with the commercial department to ensure timely availability of raw materials, packaging material, ingredients and consumables needed for production and maintain plant inventories at their optimal

Maximizing line efficiency, line performance, productivity and minimizing downtime by putting in place strong systems for TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and root cause analysis

Monitoring and reducing of wastes in raw material, packaging material and ingredients

Real time data management and updation

Ensuring product quality to meet legal, regulatory and customer specifications, stage-wise monitoring of various quality parameters, losses and identify improvement opportunities.

Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed in the plant

Ensuring high levels of hygiene in the production area

Preparation of estimates in respect of modernization, up gradation of the plant and production process and implementing any new projects in the plant.

Helping R and D to perform trials of new products and processes.

To give on-the-job training to the subordinates

Ensuring KPI's (key performance Indicators) are defined like raw material losses, first time quality, productivity and customer compliance.

Product costing and identifying saving opportunities time to time.
