Head of Department for Game Art & Design Location - Mumbai Company Profile - For IFCCI\'s client - A French Design school. - We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to join our private institute as the Head of Department for Game Art & Design . This key leadership role requires expertise in game art and design, strong management skills, and a passion for education. The Head of Department will be responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of the curriculum, managing a team of faculty members, and providing strategic direction to ensure the program\'s success. This is a full-time position with the possibility of part-time arrangements. Responsibilities: Curriculum Development: Develop and enhance the Game Art & Design curriculum, ensuring that it meets industry standards, aligns with the institute\'s mission, and prepares students for careers in the gaming industry. Faculty Management: Supervise, mentor, and evaluate a team of game art and design faculty members, providing guidance and support in curriculum delivery, instructional methods, and professional development opportunities. Program Administration: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Game Art & Design department, including scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and ensuring compliance with institute policies and procedures. Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to assess and improve the effectiveness of the program, including regular program reviews, student feedback mechanisms, and industry partnerships. Student Support: Collaborate with student advisors and support staff to provide guidance and support to students, ensuring their success and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise. Industry Engagement: Foster strong relationships with local and national game development companies, industry professionals, and alumni to enhance internship and employment opportunities for students and facilitate industry collaborations. Professional Development: Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in game art and design education, and promote continuous learning among faculty members through professional development activities. Strategic Planning: Contribute to the strategic planning process for the institute, actively participating in discussions, proposing new initiatives, and aligning the Game Art & Design program with the institute\'s overall goals. Qualifications: - Extensive professional experience in the game art and design industry, with a proven track record of success in game development and design. - Strong knowledge of current game design principles, tools, and software, as well as emerging trends in the gaming industry. - Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of faculty members. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, faculty, staff, industry professionals, and other stakeholders. - Demonstrated ability to think strategically, set goals, and execute plans to achieve desired outcomes. - Passion for education, game art, and design, with a commitment to providing students with a high-quality learning experience. - Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic and evolving educational environment.
