Key Responsibilities:

• Lesson Planning and Delivery:
• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and educational goals.
• Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Integrate multimedia resources and technology to enhance the learning experience.
• Instruction and Classroom Management:
• Teach history topics, including ancient, medieval, modern, and contemporary history, as well as regional and world history.
• Facilitate classroom discussions, debates, and group activities to encourage critical thinking and engagement.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
• Implement classroom rules and routines to ensure a safe and orderly learning environment.
• Assessment and Evaluation:
• Design and administer assessments, quizzes, and exams to evaluate student understanding and progress.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback on assignments and assessments.
• Track and report on student performance and progress to parents and school administration.
• Critical Thinking and Analytical Skills:
• Encourage students to analyze historical events, identify patterns, and draw connections to contemporary issues.
• Promote the development of research skills through projects, essays, and presentations.
• Foster an understanding of different historical perspectives and historiography.
• Professional Development:
• Stay updated on the latest teaching methodologies, historical research, and curriculum developments.
• Attend professional development workshops, conferences, and training sessions.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share resources and best practices.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall educational experience.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Participate in school meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other school events.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in History, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Teaching certification or licensure in the relevant state or country.
• Proficiency in historical content and pedagogical techniques.
• Previous teaching experience, preferably in a middle or high school setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?35,000.00 - ?40,000.00 per month
