• To analyze internal and external quality assurance of specimens. Trouble shooting with respect to sample integrity, traceability etc. and interdepartmental communication within lab
• Identifying the problem specimens and escalating to the Section In-charge / Consultant
• Performing test within TAT as per defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOP?s)
• Performing calibrations and running of controls as per SOP?s
• To incorporate results of tests performed in LIMS
• Performing, documenting Quality control / Maintenance of equipment?s as per SOP?s. And ensuring timely and regular performance of Quality Control and documentation in department.
• To check daily instrument maintenance & trouble shooting of minor instrument problems.
• To maintain all records: Reports related, QC records, Specimen records, inventory records etc
• Following laboratory safety precautions in handling clinical specimens and running of tests
• Ensuring critical values/uncommon results are communicated to the Head of the department and then to lab/hospital/concerned doctor.
• Monthly analysis of Q.C. data, plan corrective action and preventive action for outliers.
• Preparation of SOP, monitor SOP review, SOP up gradation in co ordination with department head.
• QC / maintenance records review, ensuring daily/weekly/Monthly/Yearly QC, maintenance of equipment?s as defined
• Ensuring proper performance of calibrations and running of controls as per SOP?s
• To check daily instrument maintenance & trouble shooting of minor instrument problems
• Ensuring maintenance of all records: Reports related, QC records, Specimen records, inventory records etc
• Ensuring critical values/uncommon results are communicated to the Head of the department and then to lab/hospital/concerned doctor.
