A relationship officer's job role is to develop and maintain relationships with clients, and to provide financial advice and solutions:
• Client development: Generate new business leads, identify sales prospects, and follow up on referrals
• Financial advice: Conduct financial assessments, understand clients' needs, and recommend banking products
• Customer service: Resolve customer queries and issues, and ensure customer satisfaction
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with banking regulations and policies
• Record keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and interactions
• Product sales: Cross-sell assets and fee products
• Process transactions: Process customer transactions and service requests within a defined turnaround time
• Introduce banking channels: Introduce customers to alternate channels of banking such as Internet Banking, mobile banking, and WhatsApp banking
