: Restaurant Helper
Position Overview:
A Restaurant Helper supports the daily operations of a restaurant by performing various tasks to ensure smooth functioning and excellent customer service. This role requires versatility, teamwork, and a willingness to assist in all areas as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Customer Assistance:
+ Assist customers with seating arrangements and menu inquiries.
+ Serve food and beverages in a courteous and timely manner.
• Food Preparation Support:
+ Help kitchen staff in preparing ingredients, such as chopping vegetables, setting up plates, or assembling basic dishes.
+ Maintain cleanliness in the food preparation area.
• Maintenance & Cleaning:
+ Clean tables, utensils, and restaurant spaces after service.
+ Refill water, condiments, or other table essentials during service hours.
• Inventory & Stocking:
+ Restock supplies like napkins, utensils, and cleaning materials as required.
+ Inform management of low inventory for timely replenishment.
• Miscellaneous Duties:
+ Assist with simple cash handling or running food and drink orders during peak hours.
+ Support management in setting up special events or promotions.
Skills & Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in the restaurant industry is a plus but not mandatory.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Basic knowledge of hygiene and safety practices.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift lightweight supplies, and handle physical tasks efficiently.
