Job Description


The Health and Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for employees. This includes developing and implementing safety programs, conducting risk assessments, and providing safety training. The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, be detail-oriented, and have excellent communication skills.Responsibilities- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures.- Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulations.- Provide safety training to employees on topics such as emergency procedures, proper equipment usage, and hazard identification.- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective measures.- Maintain safety records and documentation in compliance with legal and company requirements.- Collaborate with management to develop and implement safety improvement initiatives.- Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes in occupational health and safety.- Conduct safety audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure ongoing compliance.Requirements:- Bachelor\'s degree in occupational health and safety or a related field.- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or a similar certification preferred.- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards.- Excellent communication and organizational skills.- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
