Head-HR, Indian Subcontinent is a key member of IFF India Management Team, strategically partnering with the business & functional heads and extend HR support.The role is based in Hyderabad, being home to our biggest site in India (Global Shared Services Centre). The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing 9 local sites within the ISC subregion (India & Sri Lanka), providing coaching to the field HR team to drive key people and strategic priorities, aligning HR strategy to business needs.The incumbent will play a key role in creating deep and influential relationships with business leaders, understanding their goals and priorities; Bring forward business knowledge as inputs to help shape HR strategy and priorities. You will serve as the lead escalation point for issues around employee engagement, labour relations and employee relationships, dialogue with social partners/work councils, partner with COEs to design and deliver tailored country specific solutions as required.Geographic scope: India Subcontinent (India & Srilanka)The role reports to Regional Director \xe2\x80\x93 HR (based in Singapore).How will you contributeHR Leadership:

  • Establish HR as a visible and high value strategic business partner.
  • Ensuring full HR support for the multiple business units and stakeholders based in India.
  • Accountable for ensuring compliance to IFF Code of Conduct together with Legal Counsel, Compliance Counsel and India Leadership team.
  • Closely collaborate with Regional HR, COEs & Business HRBPs on roll out of global Talent Initiatives to India.
Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead the local HR team to Provide strategic support and guidance to the site HRBPs (within geographic scope), to ensure the effective execution of global HR strategy/best practice and divisional people strategies.
  • Create a stimulating and meaningful environment that can navigate complex challenges while offering growth and development opportunities to team members.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner, change agent, and implementation advisor.
  • Continuously collaborate with the HR Centers of Expertise; including L&OD, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Labor, Internal Communications, and HR Operations to drive the accomplishment of each Function\xe2\x80\x99s people-related goals and priorities.
Change Management:
  • Through subject matter expertise and connection to the COEs, provides recommendations and support in implementing change management plans to business leaders and HR partners in their cluster.
  • Implement changes in organizational structure, work design, team-based systems, organizational communications.
  • Lead and support process improvement efforts and other processes for improving organizational performance.
HR Strategy/initiatives:
  • Ensure the effective implementation of HR & business initiatives.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on projects through involvement on HR and/or business lead project teams.
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues to share best practice and successes and learning to create consistency and overall alignment.
  • Demonstrates a clear understanding of the business strategy, workforce plan, and supporting HR talent processes; drives adoption and execution of company talent management processes (succession planning, leader development, performance management, etc.) that deliver the strategy.
Talent Acquisition:
  • Partner with leadership and talent acquisition to develop proactive organizational staffing strategies to recruit and retain top Caliber talent in a high-performance environment.
  • Understanding the business\xe2\x80\x99s hiring needs, calendar and priorities including a clear plan on workforce planning.
Talent Strategy & Management:
  • Provide guidance and leadership to HRBPs and business leaders on talent reviews that are oriented on delivering the business strategy while supporting employee needs and aspirations; supports the identification of critical roles, succession plans, relevant development plans and talent gap analysis.
  • Coach leaders on performance management fostering a working environment that drives performance against agreed upon and aligned work objectives.
  • Deliver DE&I strategy in partnership with the business; assess overall diversity representation of organization informed by DE&I scorecard, and find opportunities to enhance, as needed.
  • Strategize and implement programs designed to enhance employee performance, build engagement, and reduce turnover.
  • Influence leadership in identifying solutions for retention of key talents.
  • Consult with managers and partner with Learning Solutions to understand and address critical learning needs within the cluster.
  • Facilitate or co-facilitate local learning solutions, team development interventions, and assessments debrief, as needed.
  • Coach team and ensure the implementation of global and regional learning initiatives (e.g., Global Learning Week, Learning Bites) within the cluster.
What you will need to be successful
  • Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in human resources from an institution of repute or its equivalent.
  • Minimum 15 years relevant experience into manufacturing/FMCG/Shared service centre industry of which min 5 years should be in a leadership capacity.
  • Relevant certifications in HR or related fields are advantageous.
  • Proven experience as a HR Head/Senior manager or similar leadership role, overseeing HR functions across multiple locations in India.
  • In-depth knowledge of global HR practices, employment laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, policies, and programs across different jurisdictions.
  • Experience working in diverse cultural environments, managing cross-cultural teams, and fostering global collaboration.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams across regions.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to drive HR initiatives and optimize HR practices globally.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven track record in implementing and driving HR programs, such as talent management, performance management, and employee development.
  • Ability to navigate complex HR landscapes, adapt to changing regulations, and manage HR-related risks.
  • Proficient in using HRIS systems and HR analytics tools for data-driven decision-making.
  • Understanding of data protection regulations and confidentiality requirements in handling employee information.
  • Proficient in using MS Office applications, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with changes in global HR regulations and best practices.
  • Must be flexible to travel.
