Head Strategy & Growth Acceleration, ISC BU is a pivotal Leadership role, integral to driving Haleons strategic expansion and ensuring sustainable growth within a highly competitive industry, both organic and inorganic. The incumbent will have the capability on crafting strategies and translating them into operational plans with profound understanding of the consumer healthcare landscape to navigate complexities and capitalize on growth opportunities, as well as prepping the organisation for robust execution. This role is also responsible for accelerating business results across BU ISC, from E2E perspective (marketing, product innovation, data, technology, etc). S/he is a Strategic thinker with strong competency to translate insights into actionable growth strategies, defining organisational capabilities that deliver tangible results.The role will report to Head of India Subcontinent and work closely with India Subcontinent Leadership Team, regional and global teamsKEY RESPONSIBILITIESOwn Growth Strategy and Execution: Formulate comprehensive growth plans that leverage market insights, consumer trends, and competitive intelligence to identify untapped opportunities and drive sustainable growth. Lead the strategy, execution, and optimization efforts for the growth of India Sub-continent Business unit.Innovation Champion: Foster a culture of innovation within the organization by championing disruptive ideas, challenging the status quo, and incubating breakthrough innovations that redefine consumer expectations.Market Expansion: Identify and evaluate new market opportunities for expansion and develop tailored market entry strategies to capture market share and drive revenue growth.Brand Strategy: Collaborate with marketing and brand teams to develop compelling brand strategies that resonate with consumers, differentiate our products, and drive brand equity and loyalty.Growth Experimentation: Collaborate with the business team to design and implement various growth experiments, ensuring practical application and evaluation.Customer-Centric Growth Methodology: Maintain a relentless focus on customer centricity, addressing unmet needs and enhancing the customer experience through targeted growth initiatives. Utilize customer insights, data analytics, and market research to understand evolving consumer needs and preferences and develop targeted strategies to enhance customer engagement and satisfaction. Develop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy leveraging digital media channels, including online advertising, social media, content marketingBusiness Development and Partnerships: Identify and evaluate potential business development opportunities, including strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and licensing agreements and cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, industry influencers, and strategic partners. Leverage the GTM and see ahead of the curveMergers and Acquisitions (M&A): Oversee the M&A process and evaluate potential acquisition targets, assessing their strategic fit, financial performance, and synergy potential.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, R&D, supply chain, and finance, to align growth initiatives with business objectives and drive seamless execution. The role interactions will involve facilitation and collaboration with Global stakeholders, as well as BU LT and their teams to align growth strategies - influence, credibility, breaking down barriers (working E2E).External Interactions: Externally, engagement will occur with industry partners, to foster relationships, negotiate deals, and represent the company's interests.Talent Acquisition and Development: Participate in candidate interviews, provide hiring recommendations, and engage in coaching, mentoring, and review cycles for team members and mentees.QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:Education and Experience:MBA (Tier 1), advanced degree, or equivalent experience.Minimum of 20 years of professional experience in industry/consultingPrior experience within a FMCG organization is highly desirableProven track record of success in leading growth strategy initiatives in the FMCG or related industry, with a deep understanding of market dynamics and consumer behavior.Skills and Competencies:Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with a hypothesis-driven approachAbility to analyse, synthesize, recommend, and take strategic and creative actionsExcellent communication, presentation, and material preparation skills.Deep knowledge and expertise across various domains, including industry dynamics, market trends, and competitor landscape.
