Job Summary Leads the execution of the regional and local strategy in line with the global strategy directions and indications for Sourcing of Direct and Indirect materials and services in order to achieve Kennametal\'s objectives in terms of Delivery, Quality and Cost.
Key Job Responsibilities

• Key Metrics & Outcomes include Ethics, Total Cost Reduction, Strategic Sourcing Strategies to Identify Improvements, Execute Plans for Improvement, Avoidance of Sole Source Items, DPO, Delivery Performance, Quality, Inflation Mitigation, Compliance to Conflict Mineral Policies.
• Responsible to co-create and implement the sourcing strategies for Global Commodities, as defined in the roadmaps and as directed by the Global Category Management group, including supplier performance and relationship management and total cost management and execution.
• Responsible to create and execute the implementation of sourcing strategies for regional and local Commodities.
• Cooperate with suppliers and internal stakeholders (global and local), manage cross-functional projects, build and develop strong and mutual beneficial partnerships to fulfill the overall procurement targets within cost optimization, increasing value and contractual compliance. Is accountable for the annual KPIs for INDIA, including the cost reduction initiatives, cash flow improvements and contractual spend coverage.
• Responsible for India Sourcing team management and development in order to ensure efficient material supply for the India Operations.
• Monitor overall QDC Performance of the location and drive improvement actions when required. Ensure data integrity, proper analysis, and reporting.
• Drive the annual Business Review Meetings with key suppliers.
• Leverage market data and create various price/service models to develop an understanding of market drivers to enhance the overall strategy and promote timely and effective decision making.
• Develop market expertise of market drivers and market dynamics and be able to effectively convey market understanding to wide audience of stakeholders.
• Partner with the Global Sourcing Functional Excellence Team and other functions as required to ensure that defined best practices & designated tools and procedures are comprehensively deployed across the region and that sourcing projects are executed.
• Act as a liaison between the manufacturing sites within the businesses and the Sourcing organization, ensuring that the sourcing and manufacturing strategies are mutually aligned and supportive.
• Support Operations according to escalation process.

• Relevant work experience of 10 \xe2\x80\x93 15 Years
• Bachelor and/or master within a relevant field of study (Business, Supply Chain, Engineering).
• Experience in supply chain or relevant discipline in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Proven track record within strategic procurement and/or category management (+10 years).
• SAP or other ERP system usage experience.
• 5 years or greater of experience leadership experience; Advanced people management skills.
• Motivated by leading negotiations. Goal-oriented and proactive. Strong communication skills.

• Data Management \xe2\x80\x93 Skilled in analytics; able to maintain key data, leverage raw data to organize and prioritize information for decision making.
• Project Management \xe2\x80\x93 Designs, plans and manages projects to deliver value-added solutions within defined time and cost parameters.
• Financial Analysis \xe2\x80\x93 Able to create cost savings scenario summaries and track purchase price performance to commodity markets to differentiate between cost movement due to commodity markets versus supply chain improvement. Understand financial concepts including invoicing, accounts payable and other financial business processes. Interprets financial data, analyzes cost structures, and determines financial impacts of decisions.
• Excellent English communication skills, other languages will be an asset.
• Experience working with a global corporation and matrixed environment a plus.
• Experience in a sourcing role and following compliance requirements for a global company and highly regulated industries. Experience working with a US corporation a plus.
• Commodity experience with raw materials, contract manufacturing, and general sourcing (direct and indirect sourcing).
• Experience with Import/Export processing in India
• Proficiency: MS Office, Excel, Word & PowerPoint (RQ), Access (PF), SAP (PF), Ariba (PF)
