Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Enterprise Risk Management: Ensure all risks in the operations of the organisation are identified and managed appropriately as well as conduct local-level assessment of risks and opportunities periodically and incidentally as issues arise.

1. Risk Assessment: Evaluate the creditworthiness of potential borrowers and determine the risk associated with lending to them.

2. Portfolio Monitoring: Continuously monitor the performance of the loan portfolio, identify emerging risks, and take appropriate actions to mitigate them.

3. Risk Policy Development: Formulate, update, and communicate risk management policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements.

4. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines related to housing finance and risk management.

5. Risk Intelligence : Understanding emerging fraud patterns from a strategic perspective and thereby guide the teams to develop effective controls, systems & processes

6. Stress Testing: Conduct stress tests to assess the resilience of the loan portfolio under adverse economic conditions.

7. Team Management: Lead a team of risk analysts and professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

1. Educational Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, risk management, or a related field is typically required. A master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., FRM, CFA) is a plus.

2. Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience in risk management, preferably in the housing finance or banking industry. Prior experience in credit underwriting and risk assessment is an added advantage.

3. Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the regulatory framework governing housing finance in India, including guidelines issued by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the National Housing Bank (NHB).

4. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills to assess and model credit risk effectively.

5. Leadership Skills: Proven leadership and team management experience to lead a team of risk professionals effectively.

6. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with senior management, regulators, and other stakeholders.

7. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify emerging risks and develop effective risk mitigation strategies.

8. Adaptability: The financial industry is subject to constant changes, so the ability to adapt to evolving regulatory and market conditions is crucial.

9. Ethical Conduct: A strong commitment to ethical business practices and risk management principles.

10. Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with risk management software and data analytics tools is an advantage.

11. Networking: Strong industry networks and relationships can be valuable for staying informed about industry best practices and trends.

12. Time Management : Strong time management and multitasking skills to ensure on time completion of tasks by self as well as by the risk team
