We are a recognized leader globally for large-scale decarbonized hydrogen production solutions.John Cockerill Hydrogen (JCH2) has Global footprints and to support its International and domestic operations we are looking for a Head Process Engineering (HOD - Process) to be based in Mumbai (India) office. The HOD - Process will be responsible for performing Process engineering leadership role to execute FEED/E&P/EPC Projects. Needless to mention, He/She will be a key member of JCH2 design and technical team to achieve operational excellence and support the growth objectives of the organization globally.HOD/Dy HOD/Sr Lead Process Engineering currently working in EPC / Design engineering organizations with similar profile in oil & gas/Energy/Heavy engineering space would be preferred.Key Result Areas

  • Establish, strengthen and Lead Process engineering department of John Cockerill Hydrogen- India office.
  • Perform leadership role in process design of green hydrogen projects for optimum capex and opex.
  • Work in tandem with Technical Project manager and proposal manager to meet client requirements as specified in the tender/contract documents during Proposal/FEED/Detail engineering phases of the project.
  • Mentor and train Process engineering team.
  • Act as a key stakeholder for developing and maintaining a vibrant and productive working environment while leading a diverse team of talented professionals.
Key ResponsibilitiesHead process engineering will be responsible for preparation and delivery of following key process documents.
  • Process design basis, Design philosophy, Process flow diagram (PFD), PSFD, MSD & Utility flow diagram (UFD)
  • P&ID\'s and process drawings
  • Interlock description, Cause & Effect Diagram
  • Operating instructions and functional writeups/manuals
  • Heat and mass balance
  • Safety Requirement Specifications, Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS)
  • Hazardous area classification
  • All Process calculations , relief load calculations and reports
  • Equipment sizing
  • Flare load summary, Flare header and network sizing calculations
  • Process data sheets for equipment/Packages
  • Instrument Process data sheets (IPDS)
  • All Narratives, manuals, summaries, and equipment list.
  • Perform all other leadership activities relevant to Process engineering department.
Education and Experience
  • Graduate in Chemical Engineering from a reputed university. Post-graduation will be an added advantage.
  • 20 to 22 years\' experience as process engineering expert in large engineering/project/process/heavy engineering industry with an exposure to Multinational environment.
  • Must have worked as Process HOD or Dy HOD in reputed engineering or EPC companies operating in oil & Gas, petrochemicals, or refinery sectors.
Background, Skills, and Competencies
  • At present you are performing a leadership role in managing process engineering department.
  • Well versed with process engineering software\'s viz ASPEN/HYSIS, SYMMETRY, Flare net, HTRI and other relevant IT tools and software\'s.
  • You are fluent in English; Knowledge of French is an added advantage.
  • You have already attended to HAZOPs /HAZID/SIL /LOPA sessions and know the methodology and experience in preparing the closeout reports for the same.
  • You are interested in development projects.
  • You master the office suite, especially Excel.
  • Exposure to green Hydrogen production technologies is an added advantage.
  • You have good experience with a process simulation software (for example: ASPEN, Symmetry etc.)
  • Ideally, you have knowledge in the following areas:
  • ATEX and PED regulations
  • Safety Instrumented Systems (IEC 61511)
  • API (example: API 521/520) and ASME (example: ASME B31.12) standards
  • AutoCAD type P&ID drawing software
  • Sizing of control valves, relief valves and other inline instruments of process plants.
