Job Title: Head of New Product DevelopmentDepartment: Manufacturing and Engineering Reporting to: CEOQualification: BE Mechanical, M-Tech Mechanical (From reputed colleges)Experience: 10-15 years, with a passion for advanced manufacturing and product development.Location: Cornext Agri Products Pvt Ltd, Hyderabad Role Summary:The Head of New Product Development at Cornext Agri Products Pvt Ltd will be pivotal in executing the company\'s growth plan and strategic direction. This role involves overseeing product development, developing the manufacturing processes, making critical decisions on material, mechanism and suitable manufacturing methodologies. The ideal candidate will bring product development competence and employ latest methodologies in delivering the competitive products to the highest quality and market standards. Key Responsibilities:Product Development:

• Engage with management and marketing teams in understanding the end customer subjective requirements which can be developed into objective requirements and product specifications.
• Create a pipeline of product innovations through competitor benchmarking and analysis of market needs.
• Oversee the design and technology development efforts for new products.
• Develop and implement product development strategies which ensure traceability of product specifications at every stage of development.
• Develop and lead engineering teams for end-to-end product development from concept stage to testing and evaluation.
• Ensure NPD projects happen with agreed timelines and budgets.
• Manage timelines of NPD using project management techniques.
• Develop a suite of virtual validations methods that help faster and robust product development.
• Collaborate with various including marketing, manufacturing in developing state of the art aggrotech products.
• Lead key decisions and execution throughout the product development process.

• Increase in sales from new products (NPD sales).
• Adherence to NPD development timelines.
• Improved profitability related to new product development.
• Develop a able product development team that can understand the market and come up with innovative ideas.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

• Expertise in New Product development methodologies.
• Strong Project management skills.
• Extensive understanding of mechanical systems.
• Extensive knowledge of design review and validation methodologies.
• Extensive knowledge of DFA, DFM.
• Knowledge of 7 QC tools.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills,

Preferred Skills

• Experience in quality and reliability standards for critical industries (e.g. Agriculture).
• Extensive knowledge of agricultural products like tractors, bailers.
• Costing of the product.
