We have been growing substantially the last few years and the section currently counts 28 employees. As one of the Head of Section for Buildings MEP in India, you will be a vital part of our network of buildings MEP specialists. We are more than 100 specialists working alongside our customers on some of world\'s most prestigious projects in buildings structure design. We have two sections for buildings MEP, and you will be working closely with the other Head of MEP - Buildings. You will report to the Head of Buildings India.You will have day-to-day collaboration with colleagues in all COWI\'s buildings MEP network. A key component of your work will be to enable, promote and grow collaboration across COWI by building relationships and trust with key stakeholders within the COWI network.Your ability to promote and maintain a high-performance culture within the team by living and promoting COWI\'s values will be the cornerstone for successful delivery of the portfolio of building projects being undertaken in the team. You are expected to engage proactively in the development and empowerment of team members for them, and the team, to fulfil their potential. The team is expected to grow through delivery of high-quality services within Mechanical engineering and BIM (Building Information Modelling).On a day-to-day basis, you will:

  • Lead and supervise a diverse team of engineers, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to foster a positive work environment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within COWI\'s building network to grow the pipeline of work and to maximize the opportunities for repeated business.
  • Develop the professional competencies of the team in collaboration with line managers and specialists including setting goals and objectives for your team aligned with COWI\'s strategy.
  • Manage resource allocation between projects, by setting the right project teams - both for the projects, and the personal development of the team members.
  • Oversee all organisational and staff related matters for the team, including recruitment.
  • In close collaboration with key stakeholders, develop the strategy for growth of the team, tying into COWI\'s overall strategic ambitions.
  • Support proposals for project opportunities in compliance with business guidelines and development of client propositions.

You should ideally have 10+ years\' experience working on large scale, multi-disciplinary buildings, & urban development projects or in a leadership role.Furthermore, you should have:
  • A comprehensive understanding of engineering consulting, including project management, technical excellence, and client services.
  • Demonstrated previous experience successfully leading teams on projects or as line manager.
  • Demonstrate commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
  • Have previous exposure to the Scandinavian market within Buildings.
  • Have a proficiency level in English, additional language(s) relevant to projects and client base is a plus.
