Group Company: BDX INDIA PVT LTD Designation: Head of ESG (BDX IN - LEG - Head of ESG) Office Location: Mumbai Position description: This role will lead the development,implementation, and oversight of our company\'s ESG strategy and initiatives. You will be responsiblefor providing the main regulatory and governance guidance and support on sustainability-relatedregulations and policies. You will collaborate with attorneys, both internally and externally (as andwhen required) and work cross-functionally to develop innovative solutions. You will scan theregulatory and legal landscape and provide day-to-day guidance on existing and emergingregulations and advise on upcoming global regulatory elution and enforcement trends including innew areas of law and relevance to BDx business. You will play a pivotal role in driving sustainability,responsible business practices, and ethical governance across all aspects of our operations. Yourleadership will contribute to strengthening our company\'s reputation, fostering stakeholder trust,andcreatinglong-termvaluethroughESGintegration. Primary Responsibilities: Develop a comprehensive ESG strategy aligned with the company\'s vision, values, and business objectives. Lead the integration of ESG considerations into various departments, ensuring alignment with operational goals. Collaborate with senior leadership to establish ambitious yet achievable ESG targets and metrics. Coordinating the environment and social initiatives and the compliance to law and regulatory requirements of the operating locations. Build the GRI compliant measurement, reporting and validation practices across the organisation Maintaining and updating an accidents/incidents register. Reporting to stakeholders on any accidents/incidents. ESG Culture - Assist in creating , managing internal Sustainability activities (Sustainability Committee, working group, workshops etc.) Create relationships with cross-functional teams, fostering a shared vision and ownership. Drive inspiring changes throughout the organization, creating alignment with ESG goals Coordinating and working with the HR teams and business stakeholders of all regions and Geog\'s of BDx; focus on educating the impact of ESG and create departments compliance guideline Forge strong EGS Goals. Oversee the preparation of accurate and comprehensive ESG reports and disclosures that meet global reporting frameworks and regulatory requirements. Stay up-to-date with evolving trends, risks, and opportunities in the ESG industry Reporting and disclosure - Support the development of BDx annual sustainability report, and the preparation of ESG-related disclosures Identify and assess ESG-related risks that could impact the company\'s reputation, financial performance, and long-term sustainability. Develop strategies and initiatives to mitigate ESG risks and seize opportunities for business growth. Stay current with evolving ESG regulations, standards, and trends globally, and advocate for the company\'s interests in relevant forums and associations. Participate in industry conferences, seminars, and thought leadership activities to promote the company\'s ESG initiatives. Maintain existing and implement new regulatory databases and ensure clear and concise regulatory inputs are updated timely to enable operational compliance and excellence. Sustainability and Climate Risk (SCR ) Professional certified by GARP (Global Association of Risk Professionals). Certified Carbon Accounting. Required Training/s: Required Work Experience Industry: Role: Years of experience: to Key Performance Indicators: Required Competencies: Master\'s degree in a relevant field such as Sustainability, Business Administration, Finance, or Law. Additional ESG-related certifications are a plus. Experience of 15+ years in ESG leadership roles, preferably within a multinational corporation or consulting firm. Experience in the construction / real estate industry. BTS projects for large Hyperscalers is a good addition. Strong understanding of global ESG trends, reporting frameworks (GRI, SASB, TCFD), and evolving regulations. Proven track record in designing and executing successful ESG strategies that drive positive impacts and deliver business value. Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and regions. Exceptional communication skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders and convey complex ESG concepts clearly. Analytical mindset to interpret data, assess risks, and make informed decisions. Demonstrated commitment to ethical business practices, sustainability, and social responsibility.
