Head - Legal & Secretarial (Insurance)

Only candidates from Insurance industry will be considered.

General Counsel for the Company:

- Reporting to Group\'s Legal Counsel on all legal matters as per the Group Policies, Guidelines and Technical Measures

- Review of Policies, Standard Operating Procedures from a legal perspective

Ombudsmen & Litigation management

- Handling all Insurance Ombudsmen and Litigations - both Policyholders & non-Policyholder matters before any fora including Consumer Courts, Civil Courts,

- Special focus on Property related matters, including recovery of Security Deposit from Lessors, proper handing over of possession to prevent financial losses to the Company

Criminal complaints management

- Managing criminal complaints filed by the Company as well as against the Company protecting the interests of management, Directors & reputation of the Company.

- Coordination with law enforcement authorities, including Police, Cyber crime Cell, Enforcement Directorate etc.

Labour law & industrial relations

- Review of employment practices including processes of termination for non-performance and other reasons and advising the Company if any changes are required

Qualifications:

- Preferably Law Practitioner/Qualified Legal Counsel with Company Secretary Qualification - Member of Institute of Company Secretary of India (ICSI)

Experience:

- S/he should be a qualified Legal & CS professional, with minimum 15+ years of relevant experience in the Insurance industry and must have prior experience in managing regulators like IRDAI, SEBI, etc.
