Role reports to: Vice President - Customer Development
Location: Mumbai
What you will do
The Head - Key Accounts is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the field sales staff, coaching them on key competencies, assigning sales territories and quotas, monitoring results, maintaining and updating the business plan, providing input into sales forecast, coordinating budgets, forecasts and reports, tracking regional expenses against budget, implementing cost controls when necessary, and communicating marketplace trends and changes. You will also review market analyses to determine customer needs and volume potential, track sales staff performance against quota, establish performance improvement plans when necessary, and adjust sales plans as appropriate to achieve goals:
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and increase market share for the company
• Manage and lead a team of Key Account Managers to ensure effective communication and collaboration
• Identify new business opportunities and build strong relationships with key clients
• Provide exceptional customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and market developments to inform business decisions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of projects
• Develop and maintain a strong brand image for the company
• Manage budgets and financial performance to ensure profitability
• Lead by example and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence
• Develop and execute strategies to achieve sales objectives while controlling expenses and increasing market share
• Lead and manage a team of sales professionals, providing coaching and guidance on key competencies
• Assign sales territories and quotas to staff, monitoring results and adjusting coverage as necessary
• Maintain and update the business plan covering all markets and regions, providing input into sales forecast
• Coordinate budgets, forecasts and reports, tracking regional expenses against budget and implementing cost controls when necessary
• Communicate marketplace trends and changes taking place, making recommendations about future courses of action necessary
• Review market analyses to determine customer needs and volume potential, adjusting sales plans as appropriate to achieve goals
• Ensure compliance with business plan and company policies, establishing performance improvement plans when necessary
Qualifications What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
• 11 - 15 years of experience in a related field, with a proven track record of success
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to coach and guide a team of sales professionals
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members
• Ability to manage budgets, forecasts and reports, tracking regional expenses against budget and implementing cost controls when necessary
