Head - IT [KPO]
Role: Head of IT function for fast growing Research and Thought leadership outsourcing business. reporting to Global CEO/COO. As a leader in the IT department, you will be responsible for organisation-wide systems and information technology (IT) operations, ensuring the department provides efficient and effective technical support service to the teams globally.
B. Key expectations from the role are:
I. Creates and implements IT policies and procedures that enable strong security and risk management capabilities.
II. Play a strategic role in the Technology Team, coordinating the selection, implementation, and upgrade of its software/applications and services.
III. Explores new technologies and software as appropriate and, overseeing the architecture and implementation of the ongoing support of the network, server, and communications infrastructure to ensure the uninterrupted availability of all systems.
IV. Assumes the responsibility for oversight of the entire network and system infrastructure, ensuring proper configuration, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of security firewalls, Diallers, sites/software, servers, data and file encryption, and internet connections.
V. Leads development and implementation processes for the organization\'s IT systems and manage the organization IT systems as per ISO 27001 and other security standards.
VI. Develops and implements business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
VII. Establishes security architecture and implements procedures and controls that ensure that information and data are secure and in compliance with the business\'s security and storage regulations.
VIII. Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure.
IX. Analyse IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs.
X. Proactive conduct of regular IT security audits and vulnerability checks across organization.
XI. Develops and maintains relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
XII. Leads the process and team members in the analysis, enhancement, and tailoring of current practices and existing systems to increase operating efficiencies and reduce costs.
XIII. Managing all or part of the IT department, including:
a. Supervising and guiding the IT team members
b. IT team members trainings and development
c. Handling employees\' concerns and performances
d. Communicating with the technology team and other departments as collaboration requires
C. Desired Skills, Experience and Qualification :
I. Proficient in latest technology for IT systems and management including networking, servers, firewalls, Diallers and other related operating systems.
II. Through understanding of IT and practical applications to support the company\'s goals requiring strong multi-tasking abilities.
III. Ideally should have worked in the organizations having international presence.
IV. Ability to work in matrix environment driving collaboration and common objectives
V. Good communication and interpersonal
VI. Strong in ethics & integrity
D. Experience: 12-15 years+ with last 5 years at a senior level in medium size companies (250-500 people)
E. Qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science; Master\'s degree and other certifications will be added advantage.
