Job Description


The Head Group Procurement will lead the procurement function for a leading design & build organization overseeing three primary business verticals: Coworking Spaces, Design & Build, and Operations & Refurbishment. Responsible for developing and executing strategic procurement initiatives that align with the organization\'s growth and operational goals, ensuring cost-effective and quality sourcing solution.1. Strategic Procurement Leadership

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that support the organization\'s vision and the unique needs of each business vertical.
  • Establish, monitor, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for procurement efficiency, cost savings, quality, and supplier performance.
  • Drive initiatives to streamline the procurement process and improve transparency, cost-effectiveness, and speed across all projects.
2. Sourcing & Supplier Management
  • Lead sourcing efforts both domestically and globally to secure competitive pricing, quality materials, and timely delivery for Civil, Interior, and MEP requirements.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, focusing on cost, quality, and partnership longevity.
  • Conduct regular supplier performance reviews, ensure compliance with contractual terms, and maintain high standards of supply chain integrity and quality.
3. Procurement Execution
  • Oversee the full procurement cycle from vendor selection, negotiation, and contracting to delivery and payment, ensuring alignment with project timelines and budgets.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (project management, finance, legal) to align procurement activities with organizational objectives.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of market trends, pricing, and supply chain factors to proactively address procurement challenges and opportunities.
4. Project Management
  • Coordinate with project management teams to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials aligned with project schedules and specifications.
  • Mitigate risks associated with project delays, supply chain disruptions, and cost fluctuations through proactive planning and contingency measures.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts, utilizing project management principles to optimize procurement processes, reduce lead times, and enhance project outcomes.
5. Team Development and Leadership
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing procurement team capable of supporting diverse business needs and project complexities.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and excellence within the procurement team.
  • Provide training and support for team members on strategic sourcing, negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
6. Compliance and Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and all relevant legal and regulatory requirements in procurement activities.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to address procurement-related challenges, including supply chain disruptions, cost volatility, and quality issues.
  • Drive adherence to safety, environmental, and sustainability standards across the supply chain, supporting the company\'s ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) goals.
Leadership role to head the procurement & supply chain function.|Excellent growth trajectory & work with MD in a high visibility role.
  • Education: Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field; MBA or relevant Master\'s degree preferred.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 15-25 years of progressive experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a senior procurement leadership role managing large spends above INR 1000Cr.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing procurement for design & build, civil, interior, and MEP-related projects, preferably within coworking, commercial real estate, or construction industries.
  • Proven experience with both domestic and international sourcing, contract negotiations, and supplier relationship management.
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate organizational goals into actionable procurement strategies.
  • Deep understanding of procurement practices, project management, and budgeting.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with procurement software and systems.
