Job Description


:Job Purpose : Lead and oversee the strategic management of financial planning, budgeting, MIS development, and treasury operations to ensure optimal allocation of resources, informed decision-making, and regulatory compliance while focussing on innovation and efficiencyStrategic Planning & Budgeting:-

  • Participate in strategic brainstorming sessions with the CEO, CFO, COO, and BD Head to develop, refine, and evaluate long-term plans covering periods of 3, 5, and 10 years
  • Finalise budget in consultation with the CFO ensuring alignment with organizational goals and financial sustainability
  • Continuously monitor and analyse budget performance to uphold adherence to both financial and operational targets
  • Assess various funding options and formulate effective fundraising strategies, to secure necessary resources in alignment with organizational goals
  • Propose and devise the company\'s capital structure, considering shareholder and Board guidelines, to optimize the company\'s financial framework
  • Perform market benchmark analysis to evaluate competitive reports and provide insights that inform the company\'s financial strategy to guide strategic decision making
  • Develop and execute treasury strategies to enhance the efficiency of the company\'s financial resources
Financial Management
  • Review project feasibility models prepared by the team and assess financial parameters to guide the BD team in deal evaluation
  • Develop deal structuring notes with comparative analysis, offering recommendations on structuring, funding options, and risk mitigation
  • Ensure tax-efficient deal structuring and cash flow optimization
  • Oversee commercial due diligence processes, ensuring thorough assessment of risks and adherence to regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with legal professionals and consultants as needed to address legal risks if any
  • Lead fundraising initiatives and negotiations with financial institutions, leveraging relationships and expertise to secure favourable terms
  • Perform a thorough review of budget versus actuals, furnishing data-driven insights to facilitate informed decision-making and financial oversight to the CFO
  • Guide cost analysis efforts, prioritizing areas for potential cost reduction and efficiency improvement based on organizational priorities
  • Advocate for best practices in financial management and decision-making
  • Monitor and mitigate financial risks, including those associated with foreign exchange and interest rates
  • Highlight financial and contractual risks associated with vendor/ consultant agreements and ensure appropriate action is taken
  • Optimize contract structures to enhance cost efficiency, cash flow, and tax effectiveness wherever feasible
Stakeholder Relationship Management
  • Foster strong relationships with credit rating agencies to safeguard and elevate the organization\'s credit profile
  • Lead negotiations for favourable banking arrangements and services with key banking partners
  • Cultivate and sustain relationships with Investors and Joint Venture (JV) partners, providing consistent project updates and addressing and apprehensions.
  • Engage in vendor and contract negotiation committees or sub-committees in accordance with delegation of authority guidelines
Digitization & Data Assurance
  • Drive automation initiatives within Treasury, Sales, Budgeting, and reporting functions across financial applications such as SAP, Tableau/BI tools etc
  • Implement data security protocols and best practices to protect sensitive information managed by the team
  • Continuously assess and enhance data-related processes and systems
  • Provide regular updates on process automation progress to the CFO
People Management
  • Build a strong team to achieve business objectives
  • Provide functional expertise and mentoring to teams and build strong talent pipeline
  • Set performance expectations, review team performance and provide constructive feedback
  • Identify training needs for team members and ensure the execution of the required training programs in a timely manner
  • Differentiate performance and reward high performers, thereby building high performance work culture
