Key ResponsibilitiesLeverage existing CTO capabilities to enable the creation of businesses in new businesses and adjacent areas in CTO Org\xe2\x80\x8bEnable CTO-driven programs: Drive new and emerging opportunities (inflections) out of Applied Materials in partnership with Business Units and functions to solve high-value problems for the company. \xe2\x80\x8bEnable a pipeline of new programs leveraging India\xe2\x80\x99s eco-system leading to growth programs and potential revenue opportunities\xe2\x80\x8bContinue to build critical capabilities, skills and infrastructure to drive innovation and path-finding R&D for CTO and the company in identified areas\xe2\x80\x8bDrive Applied Materials India Strategy by being part of the India leadership team and the single point of contact (as India CTO) to internal stakeholders and external partners leading technology strategies in Applied Materials India\xe2\x80\x8bBuild strategic relationships to increase the talent and strategic research with key universities enabling AMIND/AMAT growth and vision.\xe2\x80\x8bDrive AMIND tech events and enable platforms for innovation and collaboration to ramp up innovation and products through ongoing initiatives. \xe2\x80\x8bCollaborate with CTO in other regions, Singapore, etc to drive a pipeline of new programs through discovery, ideation, incubation, and commercialization\xe2\x80\x8bWork with government entities on identifying and securing funding vehicles to support innovation and commercialization \xe2\x80\x8bSeen as a thought leader in the company and the eco-system on global inflections enabling policy directions benefiting Applied Materials\xe2\x80\x8bEducation: Min: Bachelor\'s Degree in Science, Engineering or Engineering Management\xe2\x80\x8bExperience: 10+ Years in Product Development or Engineering Management\xe2\x80\x8bGeneral : \xe2\x80\x8bExperience in the semiconductor or related industry in an R&D setting. Applied experience strongly preferred \xe2\x80\x8bExperience taking ideas from the ideation phase through the product using a product life cycle framework\xe2\x80\x8bDemonstrates broad and comprehensive understanding of different systems, theories, and practices as well as the changing business environment\xe2\x80\x8bApplies in-depth knowledge of own segment/function, business, and commercial expertise to differentiate itself from the competition\xe2\x80\x8bStrategic thinking and strong business acumen are essential in this role.\xe2\x80\x8bEvaluates key business challenges; directs the development of new or innovative solutions\xe2\x80\x8bGuided by company strategy and business objectives, impacts results of segment/function\xe2\x80\x8bGood network in the ecosystem we operate. \xe2\x80\x8bAbility to collaborate and influence global stakeholders\xe2\x80\x8bTravel: As needed globally.
