- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify diagnoses and obtain additional information as necessary.
- Participate in coding audits and quality assurance activities to ensure coding accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines, CMS regulations, and industry best practices.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems and coding software efficiently.
- Participate in ongoing coding education and professional development.
- Communicate effectively with the billing department to ensure accurate claims submission and follow-up on any coding-related denials or rejections.**Qualifications:**- High school diploma or equivalent; associates or bachelors degree in a related field preferred.
- Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or similar credential.
