Job Details What you will do The Hardware(HW Program Manager will lead the new product development and launch programs for Johnson Controls. Working with geographically dispersed, engineering, manufacturing, product management and 3rd party vendor partners, the Hardware Program Manager will lead program teams throughout the product development process ensuring each function manages its deliverables to meet the program schedule, scope, and budget. HW Program Manager reports out at regular accountability and cadence meetings and will be responsible for clearly and concisely presenting the status of open projects to groups of leadership & stakeholders. You will help in Program Management, gathering requirements from PBUs, defining the acceptance Test Plans, and building the embedded systems for the JCI product line. Responsible for the Schedule, Cost, and Scope of the program. This position will be based at the Johnson Controls building in Pune and will be part of a Global Platforming team. How you will do it Communicate within the cross-functional team to understand requirements and initiate proof of concept implementation Manage program scope, budget, schedule, resources, business case, and cost as well as any changes, estimating risks through deviations and variances Manage issues, risks, and opportunities, assisting team members in removing roadblocks and escalating to management issues that cannot be resolved Leads software and hardware product development programs as a Program Manager Build strong working relationships with PBU Product Management and Engineering counterparties Work with Electronics engineers to develop and maintain schematic designs using Mentor Graphics -Expedition and Altium tool Work closely with Hardware, Software, Mechanical, and Stakeholder to create Project Plan, Schedule, and resource mapping Knowledge of designing of Hardware PCBs based on IPC guidelines and DFMEA, DFT, DFR & DFM requirements Work closely with Manufacturing Team to meet DFX, DFM, DFT and DFA requirements Improve technical competencies and skill levels based on project requirements and inputs from Technical Leads Ability to exemplify our core values: Integrity, Teamwork, Excellence, and Accountability Information Security Responsibilities : Adhere to JCI policies, guidelines, and procedures pertaining to the protection of information assets Adhere to JCI product security standards and guidelines for secured software product development The software, and licenses, shall be deployed and used only in accordance with JCI licensing agreements Unless provided in the applicable license, notice, or agreement, copyrighted software shall not be Any software that is acquired illegally or does not have a valid license shall not be deployed or used. Copying of third-party materials without an appropriate license is prohibited The employees, contractors, or third-party personnel shall not copy, extract, or reproduce in any way, copyrighted material from the Internet on information systems provided by the organization, other than permitted by copyright law Implement appropriate physical and technical safeguards to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets All employees, contractors, and third parties shall be responsible to report all information security incidents, alerts, warnings, and suspected vulnerabilities, in a timely manner, and share such information only with authorized personnel What we look for BE/BTech/ME/MTech- (ECE/EIE/EEE- minimum 10 Years of experience in Product Design including HW and SW Must have project management experience, PMBOK preferably Excellent end-to-end project management skills, shepherding an entire program from kick-off to completion Knowledge of electrical manufacturing processes and product development experience Good communication skills to interact with colleagues, peers, and stakeholders in Global Engineering centers Gather EAU, product detail, and other data attributes from multiple sources to enrich the portfolio view Track and manage delivery with PBU counterparties Deliver and execute procurement activities for the improvement of inventory forecasting and inventory management Deliver and execute Business Change and Communications plan, standards, and processes Strong understanding of Microsoft tools like Project, Power BI, Power point and advanced excel Knowledge of HW development cycle, Manufacturing processes, and product development experience Should have knowledge of finalizing Hardware Architecture based on Microcontroller and Processor-based design Good understanding of IPC standards for PCB layout and DFM/DFA/DFMEA Able to work efficiently independently as a team member and have the capacity to work on tight deadlines with high efficiency Should be able to create Product Test Cases, Test Reports, and Acceptance Criteria for NPIs and Strong vendor execution management and delivery Able to work efficiently independently as a team member and have the capacity to work on tight deadlines with high efficiency Self-learner, able to work with autonomy, readiness for foreign/domestic travel on a short/long-term basis Preferred PMP certification or training is a plus MBA preferred, not mandatory Hands-on experience in Mentor Graphics Xpedition and Altium tool Strong communication skills and be able to discuss technical topics with individuals and groups with a wide range of technical backgrounds Experienced in working with Procurement, Product Management, and PBU Engineers Knowledge of Daptiv PPM and or PLM would be of great benefit Preferably an understanding of business change management Problem-solving abilities JCI Awards and Recognitions: Honored with a Nasscom Enterprise Cloud Adoption Award for our commitment to leveraging cloud technology for sustainability Johnson Controls Named to Fortune\'s 2022 Change the World List Great Place to Work-Certified, Aug 2022 - Aug 2023
