What You\'ll DoLam Research is a leading global manufacturer of capital equipment used in making leading-edge-semiconductors across the world. We primarily compete in four specific areas - deposition, etch, photoresist strip, and single wafer clean. Lam Research India team is organized into three major areas of responsibility: Hardware, Software, and Operations. One of the major functional group of this entity is LIGHT (Lam India Global Hardware Technology). The LIGHT group, designs subassemblies and subsystems for Lam\'s product lines, providing innovation for the next-generation products, providing improvements in cost and reliability
There is an opening for the role of Hardware Designer 2 within the Customer Support Business Group (CSBG) of LIGHT organization. This position is responsible for collaborating with project engineers, designers, and drafters to work on large CAD assemblies of electro-mechanical components in Creo and Nx. This position will be based out of Bangalore and will closely be working with the Engineering & Cross functional teams across global regions of Lam Research like US & Asia.
CSBG mainly focuses on delivering value to customers throughout the product lifecycle by providing Spares, Upgrades, and Services to maximize the value of customer capital assets.Who We\'re Looking ForBachelor of Engineer (Mechanical / Mechatronics) with 8 to 10 Yrs. Exp. Or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ Yrs. Exp. In large CAD assembly managementPrimary Responsibilities:

• Work independently and as part of an effective team
• Read and understand drawings / Spec sheets to create 3D models
• Create / update modelling of electro-mechanical components in Creo and NX
• Create / update procedures, technical documents etc...
• To do Quality Check for offshore team\'s projects
• Communicate with PG engineers (USA & Asia) to get clarifications on the projects
• Working with team on projects and responsible for timely and quality deliverables

Mandatory skills and experience required to perform the job:

• Proficient in 3D Modelling, Assembly and Detailing using Creo & Nx
• Precise attention to detail components positions and content (compare SAP BoM to CAD)
• Experience in creating 3D model & assembly for Sheetmetal, machined components and weldment tube assemblies using Creo & Nx
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Knowledge of MS office tools
• Shows attention to detail and exhibits high quality standards in engineering documentation

Desirable Skill:

• Experience with Team Center and PLM (SAP)
• Work experience in Technical Publications (3D PDF) is an advantage
• Hands on experience in SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Author or similar Publishing software
• Knowledge on should costing or value engineering methodologies is an added advantage
• Experience in Mechanical Design preferably with Semiconductor Industry
