Job Description

The Hand Embroider for Heavy Couture Garments is responsible for creating intricate and high-quality embroidery on couture garments. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, patience, and a strong understanding of various embroidery techniques. The embroiderer will work closely with designers and the couture team to ensure the final product meets the highest standards of craftsmanship and luxury.

Key Responsibilities:

• Embroidery Execution:
• Create intricate hand-embroidered designs on heavy couture fabrics following specific patterns and designer instructions.
• Utilize various embroidery techniques such as beadwork, sequins, applique, goldwork, and silk thread embroidery.
• Design Interpretation:
• Accurately interpret and execute design sketches and patterns provided by the designer.
• Collaborate with designers to understand their vision and make necessary adjustments to the embroidery work.
• Material Handling:
• Select and handle high-quality threads, beads, sequins, and other materials appropriate for heavy couture garments.
• Ensure the durability and aesthetic appeal of the materials used.
• Quality Control:
• Inspect completed embroidery work for precision, consistency, and adherence to design specifications.
• Make necessary corrections to ensure the final product meets the brand's quality standards.
• Time Management:
• Efficiently manage time to meet tight deadlines without compromising the quality of work.
• Prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Maintenance and Care:
• Maintain embroidery tools and workspace in an organized and clean manner.
• Properly care for and store materials to prevent damage or deterioration.
