Primary Skill- Hadoop AdminLocation - Hyderbad / ChennaiExperience - 6-9 Years:-IT experience in the areas of Bigdata tech stack and Administration
6+ years Cloudera Hadoop administration including installation, configuration, monitoring and upgrades in large-scale enterprise environments on Linux platforms.
3+ years of Linux, Shell scripting experience.
Hadoop Administrator will be responsible for administering, supporting, governing, and maintaining multiple big data environments across the regions.
Must have a thorough understanding of Big Data architecture and the entire product suite like Hive, Spark, Impala, Yarn, Sentry etc., administration policies, techniques and methodologies.
Provide technical assistance to application and business teams to solve complex problems, maintain system infrastructure requirements, enhance and configure system integrations, and ensure on-time delivery of solutions.
Prior experience with project management is preferred.
Install, upgrade and configure EAP platform in Linux environments (Hadoop components).
Maintaining Big data clusters healthy on high priority.
Taking care of EOVS, Patching, Firmware upgrade, GEMS etc. on time.
Continuously improve the platform through tuning, optimization, governance, automation, and troubleshooting of Big Data cluster Environments.
This is a multitasking role, and the individual is expected to support multiple Application teams as well as a large and diverse Business user community.
Automate product installation and configuration for rapid deployments.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to build a portfolio of capabilities for recommendation and use in analytical product development across Citi lines of businesses.
As subject matter expert in big data environment, provide L3/L4 support and guidance to respective applications.
Publish best practices, configuration recommendations, deployment and security architecture to internal customers.
Create project plans, perform impact analyses solve/work high impact problems/projects, and provide resolutions to restore services.
Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) post restoration of serviceCapture the repetitive tasks and work with engineering team for an automation.
Provide technical/strategic direction and act as advisor/coach to other team members.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm\'s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
