Cleans and prepares guest rooms daily in accordance with Brand standards.
Prepares bed and bath linens
Cleans and straightens room
Displays and replaces amenities and promotional materials
Orders repairs as appropriate
Returns articles left in rooms to Lost and Found
Maintains supplies necessary to clean rooms efficiently
Keeps supply trolley stocked
Organises and cleans linen closet - removes soiled, torn or worn linen
Notifies Housekeeping Department of stock shortages and/or malfunctioning equipment
Handles difficult situations effectively
Performs other duties as required to provide Yes I Can! Service and teamwork
Follows Brands policies with regard to Do Not Disturb rooms
Follows Hotel guidelines for proper turndown procedures
Assist with the Hotel pressing service in the evening as required
Contribute to customer satisfaction by delivering items to customers upon request.
Maintains the tracking of all delivered items through proper documentation.
Provides customer satisfaction by cleaning 16 rooms daily (at 28 minutes per room) according to operational policies and standards.
Cleans bathroom areas
Vacuums rooms as required
Reports maintenance requests and replacement orders
Replaces and/or empties vacuum cleaner bag daily
Cleans trolley and vacuum cleaner on a regular basis
Ensures quality and quantity of the contents of the linen closet by organising and cleaning it
Checks stocks daily
Notifies Housekeeping Department immediately if any stock shortages exist
Pulls a damaged or rewash linen and returns them to the Housekeeping Department.
Adheres to Hotel policies and procedures
Attends work on time as scheduled
Follows hotel grooming and dress standards
Follows safety and security rules and procedures
Knows and follows safety procedures concerning blood-borne pathogens
Keeps immediate Supervisor promptly and fully informed of all
problems or unusual matters of significance.
Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objective of this position.
Maintains a favourable working relationship with all other hotel employees to foster and promote a co-operative and harmonious working environment.
At all times projects a favourable image of the Hotel to the public.
