Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-oriented Guest Service Associate to join our Food & Beverage Service team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a positive dining experience, and contributing to the overall success of the Food & Beverage department. As a Guest Service Associate, you will work in a fast-paced environment, interact with guests, and support various service functions in line with company standards and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Guest Interaction: Greet, seat, and assist guests with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude. Respond promptly to guest inquiries, providing accurate information about the menu, daily specials, and restaurant facilities.
• Order Taking & Service: Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently. Serve orders to guests in a timely manner, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to quality standards.
• Upselling & Recommendations: Proactively suggest menu items, beverages, and promotions to enhance the guest experience and increase sales. Upsell where appropriate, without being pushy.
• Order Accuracy & Quality: Double-check orders for accuracy and quality before serving to ensure guest satisfaction. Handle special requests, dietary restrictions, and allergens with care.
• Table Maintenance: Ensure tables are set up, clean, and ready for guests. Clear dishes and utensils promptly after guests have finished their meals.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service and prompt delivery of orders. Communicate effectively with colleagues to handle guest requests and resolve issues quickly.
• Guest Satisfaction: Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns or complaints promptly and professionally to ensure complete guest satisfaction.
• Cash Handling: Process guest payments accurately using the system, handle cash and credit card transactions, and provide receipts as required.
• Health & Safety Standards: Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, including food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene standards.
• Other Duties: Assist with stock replenishment, maintaining cleanliness of the service area, and any other tasks as assigned by the Food & Beverage Manager or Supervisor.
Qualifications:
• Education: Hotel Management Degree/Diploma
• Experience: Previous experience in a customer service or food & beverage role is preferred . (06 months - 2 yrs)
• Skills & Abilities:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for providing exceptional guest service.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and a professional demeanor.
• Basic math skills and cash handling experience.
• Knowledge of food & beverage offerings, including wines, cocktails, and dietary restrictions, is an advantage.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift.
• Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to move and carry trays and assist in setting up dining areas.
Work Environment:
• The position is based in a dynamic food and beverage setting, such as a restaurant, hotel dining room, or bar, with high guest traffic and a team-oriented atmosphere.
