Job Description

Job Purpose:



The Hostess / GRE is responsible for greeting guests upon arrival, ensuring they are seated promptly, and managing the flow of guests to maintain a smooth operation within the restaurant. The individual will also act as the point of contact for guests, addressing their needs, handling reservations, and providing outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:



Guest Greeting & Seating:

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and ensure they are directed to their tables efficiently. Manage the guest waitlist, ensuring guests are seated in a timely and organized manner. Escort guests to their tables and provide information about the menu and specials.

Reservations & Guest Management:

Answer phone calls and emails regarding reservations and bookings. Manage reservation system, ensuring tables are allocated appropriately and confirming bookings. Handle guest complaints and inquiries politely and professionally, resolving issues when necessary.

Customer Service:

Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor while interacting with guests. Provide guests with information about the restaurant's services, including the menu, specials, and promotions. Ensure all guest requests are promptly communicated to the relevant departments.

Coordination with Staff:

Work closely with the kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth communication during busy periods. Coordinate the seating arrangements with the servers to optimize the flow of service.

Maintaining Cleanliness & Ambience:

Ensure the hostess stand and waiting areas are clean and welcoming at all times. Maintain a professional appearance and ensure a clean and polished environment for guests.

Upselling & Promotion:

Actively promote special offers, events, and new menu items to guests when appropriate. Upsell reservations for special occasions, such as birthdays, anniversaries, or group events.

Guest Feedback:

Collect guest feedback on their dining experience and share it with the management team. Ensure guests leave with a positive impression and invite them to return.

Qualifications:



High school diploma or equivalent; further education in hospitality or customer service is a plus. Proven experience as a hostess or in guest relations, preferably in a high-end restaurant or hospitality environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills. Ability to handle difficult situations and guest complaints with grace and professionalism. Knowledge of reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable) and basic administrative tasks.

Work Conditions:

Pay: ?8,951.97 - ?36,594.09 per month
