The Guest Service Associate is the primary point of contact for customers in the restaurant. They ensure a warm and welcoming dining experience by assisting guests at every stage of their visit. This role demands excellent communication, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Welcoming Guests:
Greet customers warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
Provide a welcoming ambiance and ensure guests feel comfortable.
Menu Explanation:
Present the menu and provide detailed explanations of dishes, including ingredients and preparation methods.
Offer recommendations based on guests' preferences or dietary requirements.
Order Taking:
Accurately take orders from guests and ensure they are communicated clearly to the kitchen staff.
Handle special requests and modifications as per guest requirements.
Food Service:
Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring presentation and service quality meet restaurant standards.
Anticipate and address guests' needs during their meal.
Billing and Payments:
Present bills to customers, explain charges if necessary, and process payments efficiently.
Handle cash, card, or digital transactions while ensuring accuracy.
Customer Satisfaction:
Regularly check on guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service.
Address complaints or issues swiftly and professionally to maintain a positive dining experience.
Customer Interaction and Relationship Building:
Build rapport with regular customers and gather feedback to improve service.
Handle inquiries and provide information about the restaurant, promotions, or events.
Key Skills and Competencies:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Must have two and four wheeler license.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proactive problem-solving and customer service abilities.
Basic understanding of billing systems and cash handling.
