Visit us - .Our Indian Operations Centre (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2000+ skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision, and commissioning. Over the last decade, INOPC has evolved to become the largest engineering hub serving more than 40 countries across different energy sectors. The team caters to the four business units\xe2\x80\x94Transformers, Grid Integration, Grid Automation, High Voltage and has successfully executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.You will be part of HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current), a business unit within Hitachi Energy located in Chennai. The unit develops, manufactures, and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. The HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. HVDC is also used to connect power systems. In this role you will design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects, cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.Mission Statement:As Group Manager at INOPC-HVDC, Chennai you will be responsible for a given Group\xe2\x80\x99s strategy, operation, resource planning, competence development and people development. Group will consist of number of line functions / teams. You need to collaborate with various cross-functional group/teams, suppliers and customers. You will be part of local management and act as a \xe2\x80\x9csounding board\xe2\x80\x9d within the organization. Analysis and risk management will also be among your tasks. You will in many ways be the person at the center of things. Your leadership skills will be required to make your group success in every direction.Your Responsibilities:Resource planning medium to long term and allocation based on the forecast of tenders & projects in collaboration with global organization.Ensure KPI of the department (e.g. on time delivery, FPY, productivity)Ensure achieving financial budget.Review and approve techno-economic offering by your line in a tender/project, assess risk and opportunity.Run routine review & follow-up with the project team and other cross-functional teams, supplier and customers.Responsible for the Factory System Test for the upgrade / service projects executed in INOPC.Recruitment of people as per the Capacity work force planning.Accountable for the team as per Hitachi Energy Group compliance, Integrity, Health & Safety.Responsible for personnel assessments / people\xe2\x80\x99s review, target setting for the direct reports.Identify people\xe2\x80\x99s development area(s) and implement actions accordingly.Identify key competence area and have succession planning.Retention of key people.Participate in unit\xe2\x80\x99s strategic work and develop local strategy and road map.Workout future scope expansion and competence development.Drive operation development for the local organization.Living Hitachi Energy\xe2\x80\x99s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.Your Background:Education Qualification: Bachelor\'s degree in engineering in Electrical / Electronic.Has previous experience of Line Manager/Team Leader for 3-5 years with a team size of at least 25+Knowledge in Control & Protection systems for HVDC / FACTS.Sound English language knowledge.Strong communication and collaboration skills required.Good intercultural sensitivity.Strong leadership skills.Exposure to the New Technologies and Global customers.Stakeholder Management through continuous interaction with employees and senior management across the globe.
