Role DescriptionReport and write news and analysis articles about R&D, commercial or regulatory issues within the Norstella News & Insights customer markets (including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices and diagnostics). Roles ResponsibilitiesEvery day, in every part of your role, ensure your activities have a positive impact for our clients.Report and write news and analysis pieces with guidance from an editor on a daily cycle.Take daily assignments, and actively pitch stories on a regular basis. Be familiar with different Norstella datasets and use these to create proprietary stories and articles. Cultivate expertise and contacts in topic areas of focus Contribute as needed in the proofreading and production process, for daily online publishing.Deliver personal key performance indicators.This list is not exhaustive and other responsibilities may be encompassed into the role on a temporary or permanent basis.

Qualifications

Key Competencies High level of curiosity, that is, a desire for knowledge, prepared to ask and learn, with an authentic interest in others and what they might have to share.Ability to participate in cross-functional teams and maintain communication with colleagues and manager on work in progress, as well as daily use of workflow tracking tools.Basic knowledge of specific market sector and awareness of major issues affecting markets in general.Ability to use language and translation skills when needed.Good interpersonal skills with emphasis on the ability to gain the cooperation of sources.Have the flexibility to cope with any unexpected scheduling. Consistently express an informed, knowledgeable interest in learning or contributing more to the editorial process for the benefit of the publications.General Knowledge/Skill: Journalism skills and knowledge including: ability to write clearly, news writing skills and judgment. Ability to understand and interpret datasets.Computer literacy appropriate with working in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and the capability to learn customized editorial systems. Use of social media (Twitter, Linked In, others).Required Education-Experience Appropriate Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree such as journalism, sciences, languages, or economics. Demonstrable writing experience or equivalent career experience.
