Roles & Responsibilities: This role will hold two areas of responsibility: 1) serving as a hands-on digital marketer, and 2) directly managing other Pune team members who support the Local Marketing Solutions (LMS) marketing team.
As a hands-on digital marketer, you will bring extensive experience driving results in digital marketing campaigns, including Search Engine Marketing (SEM / PPC /paid search), Social Media Marketing (SMM), affiliate channel management, and retargeting campaigns. These marketing channels already have dedicated leaders in the United States who set specific quarterly goals and objectives and who manage to monthly performance targets. As we continue to grow in these areas, we are establishing our global team and expanding our marketing capabilities from our Pune office. In your capacity as Director of Marketing, our Pune-based team will directly report to you from the start.
This is an extremely important role. The LMS Division Marketing department spends millions of dollars per year in media spend and generates over 100,000 leads per year for our sales department. Therefore, this role needs to be filled by someone who is experienced, highly analytical, performance-driven, collaborative, and focused on the big picture (the holistic business impact). Our approach to marketing is never to be happy with the status quo, but to continuously build, optimize, test and improve to achieve greater levels of success. Responsibilities include:
Executional excellence on digital marketing projects within the following marketing channels: Search Engine Marketing (SEM)
- Managing specific initiatives as assigned, such as account restructuring, performance analysis, optimizing bidding goals, switching to new bidding algorithms, running various tests, or supporting our shelf space strategy.
Social Media Marketing (SMM)
- As this is a new channel for us, we are rapidly expanding our SMM capabilities and making ongoing adjustments to our strategy. As we gain traction, this channel has a great deal of growth potential.
Retargeting Campaigns
- Through a combination of Google & Bing ads, Facebook, and platforms like NextRoll, our goal is to boost the effectiveness of marketing campaigns through effective retargeting of various audiences, including non-converted landing page visitors.
Effective people management and collaboration with global cross-functional teams.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
15+ years of marketing experience with a strong background in direct response marketing.
Appropriate and relevant education; an MBA is desirable.
Experienced in performance-based, direct-response marketing and B2B lead generation.
Proven examples of success in building or rebuilding marketing teams and strategies with a strong focus on analytics, innovation, program development, and execution.
Extensive experience in a B2B marketing and lead generation environment
Track record of managing measurable and accountable goals to acquire customers while stimulating innovative and creative solutions.
Demonstrated management skills in building and motivating successful marketing teams where teamwork is valued.
Strong quantitative capabilities and desire to drive measurable impacts to the business.
A forward-thinking orientation that uses information to shape the future, rather than just measuring the past. This should be combined with an action orientation that encourages consensus toward decisions supported by the appropriate facts.
Data and performance-driven and should possess strong analytical skills.
