Location: Hyderabad Job Title: Group Head of Human Resources Reporting to: Managing Director/CEO Job Summary: The Group Head of Human Resources will be a strategic leader responsible for developing and executing the overall HR strategy for two distinct entities: a well-established API manufacturing company and a newly established solar company. This role demands a highly adaptable and experienced individual with a proven track record of building and managing high-performing teams, fostering positive work cultures, and driving HR initiatives that support organizational growth across diverse business landscapes. The ideal candidate will possess deep understanding of HR best practices, strong business acumen, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to navigate the complexities of managing HR for both a regulated industry (Pharma/API) and a rapidly evolving sector (Solar). Core Responsibilities: Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies tailored to the specific needs and growth trajectories of both the API manufacturing and solar companies, aligning with their respective business objectives. Consider the unique challenges and opportunities within each sector. Talent Acquisition & Management: Oversee the full recruitment cycle for both entities, from workforce planning and sourcing to onboarding and talent development. Develop targeted strategies to attract, retain, and motivate top talent in competitive markets, recognizing the different skill sets required for each industry. Implement effective succession planning programs across both organizations. Performance Management: Design and implement robust performance management systems that align individual goals with company objectives for both the API and solar businesses. Oversee performance appraisals, provide feedback and coaching, and facilitate career development opportunities. Coordinate performance reviews with senior management in each entity. Compensation & Benefits: Develop and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain employees across both organizations, considering industry benchmarks and the specific needs of each workforce. Conduct salary benchmarking and market analysis to ensure competitiveness. Employee Relations: Foster positive and productive work environments in both the API and solar companies. Develop and implement employee relations programs, handle employee grievances and disciplinary actions, and ensure compliance with all labor laws and regulations. Establish effective employee communication systems, including surveys, feedback mechanisms, and town halls. Implement a robust whistle-blower system. Learning & Development: Identify training needs and develop and implement tailored training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge within each business context. Promote a culture of continuous learning and development. Upskill the leadership teams in both organizations through functional and leadership coaching. Compliance & HR Operations: Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations, particularly within the regulated API manufacturing environment. Oversee HR operations, including HRIS management, payroll processing, and benefits administration. Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures specific to each business. Build measurable HR systems based on SLAs and TAT. Change Management: Lead and manage organizational change initiatives within both the API and solar companies, ensuring smooth transitions and effective communication. Be prepared to manage the distinct change management needs of a mature business versus a newly established one. Budget Management: Develop and manage separate HR budgets for each entity, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient resource allocation. Special Projects: Lead independent corporate HR projects such as compensation benchmarking, leadership development programs, and fast-tracker programs, considering the specific needs of each business. Culture Building: Champion the company values and culture, fostering positive and inclusive work environments. Work with business leaders in both the API and solar companies to improve organizational performance. Qualifications: MBA in HRM or equivalent. 15+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 7 years in a leadership role. Experience in the pharmaceutical/API manufacturing industry is essential. Experience in the renewable energy/solar industry is highly desirable. Strong understanding of Indian labor laws and regulations. Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills. Strong financial and business reporting skills. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
