General information:
The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 1500 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest engineering hub. The India Operations Centre is a key aspect of the Power Grids business Power Up transformation program. The INOPC team at Chennai supports Hitachi Energy\'s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Power Grid business. To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries. As a Engineering Specialist team role is to provide crucial insights into the technical viability of customer solutions based on standardized HE architectures integrated with the third-party devices. The specialists will also play a key role in supporting the Sales process for Batteries and Power Conversion topics.
Responsibilities:
Interlocutor with AEMO or utilities during the GPS process.
Math model expert to support any model change during the GPS process.
Definition of the integration of the energy plant with the control platform of the local utilities.
System Acceptant Test technical responsible. The main purpose of this test is to evaluate the system\'s compliance with the technical requirements and verify if it has met the required criteria for delivery to end user.
Sizing of new renewable energies and storage power plants in order to meet grid code set out by the local utility authority.
Cost effectiveness studies of energy plants base on new technologies, according to the Australian regulation frame.
Definition of any customization of the product/control algorithm based on the particular project conditions of this country.
Getting the full knowledge of the PCS, BESS and PPC grid control algorithm
Submit (GPS R0 step) all our main customer projects in the accepted schedule.
Establishing strong collaboration with other departments within the company and able to turn around tasks efficiently.
To get a position for EKS in the Australian market as a technological reference.
To develop a strong stakeholder network in Australia.

Your Background:
Engineering Degree (Bachelor or Master), ideally Electrical or Power Electronic Systems.
Knowledge of Power Electronic Systems, and in particular Solar/ Battery.
Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects and grid integration.
Working knowledge of AEMO GPS Standards and National Electricity Rules (NEM/ WEM).
High proficiency with PSSE and PSCAD.
Knowledge of secondary systems including SCADA in substations.
Ability to read, interpret and create electrical drawings.
Experience in engaging with and evaluating equipment vendors and service providers.
