Responsibilities
Exhibits a comprehensive understanding of Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes, modifiers, and associated fees while maintaining precise data entry into the computer system. accurately and promptly posts receipts and charges for each visit into the appropriate patient account. Adds up and verifies each batch run before sending it to the appropriate staff for editing. Maintains and updates patient demographic data and, when necessary, asks patients and/or coworkers for the necessary insurance and billing information. handles the processing of Uniform Billing Form 92 (UB92) and bills from the Health Care Finance Administration. Looks for any issues with visit tickets, claim forms, and benefit explanations. Quickly shares results. Reports to the supervisor any problems with risk management, protocol violations, and helpful critiques.
