Potential Opportunities Available for Service Engineers
Responsibilities
1. Warranty Services Delivery: Oversee and manage all warranty services from the moment the product is delivered through the entire warranty period. This involves coordinating service responses, ensuring timely action, and maintaining customer satisfaction.
2. Support during Product/System Commissioning: Provide on-site support during the commissioning of products or systems, particularly on trains and locomotives. Ensure seamless installation, integration, and operation by collaborating with the technical team and addressing any challenges that arise during commissioning.
3. Execution of Field Operations: Execute scheduled field operations, including retrofitting, overhauls, and maintenance tasks, to meet Field Team (FT) objectives and fulfill customer requirements. Ensure that these operations are completed within set timelines and with a focus on quality and precision.
4. Problem-Solving Support for Engineering & Quality Teams: Collaborate closely with the Engineering and Quality teams to resolve technical issues encountered in the field. Use field insights and technical knowledge to provide effective solutions, minimizing downtime and improving product reliability.
5. Special Tools and Equipment Management: Ensure the availability and proper use of specialized tools and equipment required for warranty services and customer support. This includes maintaining an inventory of tools and ensuring that they are in good working order to support field operations.
6. Spare Parts Management: Manage the availability of spare parts for 0km services and warranty support. Ensure efficient site inventory management for maintenance and overhaul activities, preventing delays due to parts shortages or supply chain disruptions.
7. Field Experience Feedback: Capture and provide feedback from field experiences at every stage of the product lifecycle. Use this data to enhance product reliability, optimize service processes, and drive continuous improvement in product design and performance.
8. Customer Warranty Claim Validation: Evaluate and challenge customer warranty claims to determine their authenticity. Ensure that claims meet the established warranty criteria and work with customers to resolve disputes, aiming to protect company interests while maintaining customer satisfaction.
