Career Potentials for Service Engineer
Responsibilities
1. Delivery of Warranty Services: Oversee and manage the entire warranty service process, from the delivery of the product to the conclusion of the warranty period, ensuring customer satisfaction and product reliability.
2. Commissioning Support for Products/System: Provide technical support during the commissioning of the product or system on trains and locomotives, ensuring successful integration and operation in line with the customer's specifications.
3. Execution of Field Operations: Execute all field operations, including retrofits, overhauls, and maintenance activities, adhering to schedules to meet Field Testing (FT) objectives and fulfill customer requirements.
4. Collaboration with Engineering & Quality Teams: Work closely with engineering and quality teams to assist in effective problem-solving, ensuring that issues encountered during warranty services are resolved efficiently.
5. Management of Special Tools: Ensure the availability and proper usage of specialized tools necessary for warranty services and customer support, enhancing service efficiency and quality.
6. Spare Parts Management: Ensure the availability of spare parts required for both the 0 km maintenance and warranty services. Manage site inventory effectively to support maintenance, overhaul, and other operations.
7. Field Feedback for Product Improvement: Provide continuous feedback on field operations and customer experiences to relevant teams at all stages of the product lifecycle, contributing to improvements in product reliability and performance.
8. Customer Warranty Claims Management: Scrutinize and challenge customer warranty claims by validating the authenticity of each claim to ensure fairness and transparency in warranty services.
9. Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Compliance: Take responsibility for the deployment and organization of EHS protocols, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards during all warranty-related operations.
10. Participation in QRQC and FRACAS Processes: Actively engage in Quick Response Quality Control (QRQC) processes and Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) to identify and resolve quality issues promptly, minimizing downtime and enhancing product reliability.
