The architect should be proficient in database design, performance optimization, and security
The key responsibilities of a Database Architect may include:1
Designing and developing the database architecture that supports the storage and management of large amounts of data
Ensuring that the database architecture meets the business requirements and supports the performance and scalability needs of the organization
Developing and maintaining database design standards and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality across all databases
Optimizing database performance by identifying and resolving issues with indexing, query design, and other performance-related factors
Ensuring the security and integrity of the data by implementing appropriate access controls, encryption, and data backup and recovery procedures
A successful Database Architect should have strong technical skills, including proficiency in database design, performance optimization, and security
They should have experience working with large and complex data sets and knowledge of relational databases and SQL
The architect should also have experience with database management systems, such as Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server
