: Graphic Designer - Packaging Industry

Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented and creative Graphic Designer to join our dynamic design team in the packaging industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating visually appealing and brand-consistent designs for a wide variety of packaging materials, including product labels, boxes, cartons, bags, and other packaging-related assets. This role requires a keen eye for detail, an understanding of packaging design principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Packaging Design : Create innovative, attractive, and functional packaging designs that align with brand identity and product requirements. Designs may include labels, boxes, bags, cartons, shrink wraps, and more.
• Branding : Ensure all designs are consistent with the brand's visual identity, maintaining coherence across all packaging materials.
• Design Mockups : Develop digital mockups and 3D renders for presentation and approval before final production.
• Client Collaboration : Work closely with clients and product managers to understand their vision, product features, and target market to design packaging that appeals to consumers.
• Market Research : Stay up-to-date with design trends, competitor packaging, and consumer preferences to inform design decisions and create cutting-edge packaging solutions.
• Artwork Production : Prepare print-ready files, ensuring all necessary technical requirements, such as dielines, color modes, and resolution, are met.
• Cross-Department Collaboration : Coordinate with production teams, printers, and manufacturers to ensure design feasibility, quality control, and timely delivery.
• Quality Assurance : Review proofs, samples, and final products to ensure designs are printed accurately and meet high-quality standards.
• Revisions & Feedback : Respond to feedback and make revisions to designs based on client or internal team requests.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Education : Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Experience : 2+ years of experience in graphic design, preferably in the packaging, consumer goods, or product design sectors.
• Design Software : Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), 3D rendering software (e.g., Cinema 4D, Adobe Dimension), and other relevant design tools.
• Packaging Knowledge : Familiarity with packaging design processes, materials, production techniques, and industry standards.
• Attention to Detail : Strong eye for detail, with the ability to spot inconsistencies or errors in designs.
• Creative Thinking : Ability to generate fresh, innovative ideas and concepts for packaging that stand out in the market.
• Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, clients, and external vendors.
• Project Management : Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with pre-press production and working with printers.
• Knowledge of sustainable packaging trends and eco-friendly design practices.
• Experience in working with e-commerce packaging requirements.
• Familiarity with dielines and structural design.
• Understanding of the marketing and retail landscape for consumer products.

Pay: ?9,570.13 - ?26,353.42 per month
