A field sales representative's job is to promote and sell products to clients, and to build relationships with them:
• Client acquisition : Find new business opportunities and build relationships with clients
• Product demonstrations : Demonstrate products or services to potential clients
• Market research : Research market trends and competitors to inform sales strategy
• Contract negotiations : Negotiate terms of sales, price points, and other contract terms with customers
• Sales presentations : Present products to develop purchasing desire
• Needs analysis : Perform needs analysis and cost-benefit analysis for clients
• Sales targets : Create sales targets and work to meet them individually and as a team
• Customer records : Maintain customer accounts and records of sales
• Reports : Provide feedback to management using financial data collected
• Competitor monitoring : Monitor competitors' sales activities, products, and marketing strategies
• Corporate marketing : Assist with corporate marketing strategies and expanding the company to new markets
