We are on the lookout for an experienced Government Sales Specialist, ideally with a background in ex-defense or armed forces, to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in establishing and nurturing relationships with government entities, especially in the defense sector in India, leveraging your unique insights and experiences from your time in the armed forces. Role and Responsibilities:
  • Identify and qualify potential government leads and opportunities across various departments and agencies.
  • Build and cultivate strong relationships with government officials, influencers, and stakeholders.
  • Participate in tenders, RFPs, and other procurement processes, ensuring compliance with all regulations and procedures.
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations and proposals that highlight the value proposition of Digantara\'s solutions.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Manage existing government accounts and ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing support and relationship management.
  • Track and analyze sales data and metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Stay updated on the latest government policies, regulations, and procurement practices.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s, Master\xe2\x80\x99s, or equivalent in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in government sales, with a preference for experience in defense contracts in India.
  • Direct experience or background in ex-defense or armed forces, with a deep understanding of defense procurement and strategy.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  Preferred Qualities:
  • Strong network within Indian defense and governmental agencies.
  • Knowledge of aerospace or space technology sectors.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
  General Requirements:
  • Independent initiative combined with the ability to work under direction.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to thrive in a diverse team setting.
  • Commitment to a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Skilled in preparing and presenting technical documents and briefings.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and presentations.
