As the Government Affairs Manager for India, you will be instrumental in bolstering Micron\xe2\x80\x99s public and governmental initiatives within the country. Your duties will encompass the daily monitoring of political changes and policy developments, gathering strategic intelligence, and analyzing new issues. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations and leading our interactions with both Central and State Governments. This key position within our government and public affairs division plays a crucial role in strengthening Micron\xe2\x80\x99s position as a global technology leader. We are looking for a proactive and energetic individual who is ready to hit the ground running. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Collaboration: Collaborate with the government affairs team to organize meetings, projects, events, and research initiatives that align with our strategic goals. Develop and implement strategies for effective engagement with government bodies.
• Research and Policy Analysis: Perform research and policy analysis on national and regional legislation, contributing to Micron\xe2\x80\x99s position statements for governmental bodies. Monitor proposed legislation and trends to assess their impact on the organization.
• Support: Preparing briefs and presentations for high-level discussions with government representatives. Organize policy meetings and oversee government affairs-related functions and events.
• Relationship Building: Establish and maintain relationships with government officials and agencies. Develop communication channels to support business leaders.
• Industry Collaboration: Work with industry groups like HYSEA, NASSCOMM, Zinnov Etc.
• Travel: Be prepared to travel to various Micron locations as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in public policy, public administration, business, or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience
• Possessing 1 to 3 years of experience in a supervisory role in an USA multinational could be required.
• Core understanding of national politics and India central/ state government processes.
• High-reaching, ambitious and motivated professional with outstanding organizational and communication skills
• Self-starting individual with ability to take initiative and work both independently and collaboratively with other team members.
• Ability to operate and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and SharePoint
• Job location: Hyderabad or New Delhi only
