Building on this existing platform in India, we are looking to invest in establishing an ISG Trading Operations division that will continue to recognize and match the global need of our clients.Team BackgroundGlobal Operations Position Control (GOPC - Mumbai) is a part of the ISG Aligned Operations team in Mumbai and provides support to various Business Units, Financial Control Group (FCG) & Derivative Client Processing (DCP) Groups within the firm. It is structured to focus on independent control and risk functions across Asset Classes and Products.Below are the primary functions performed by the Team :\xc2\xb7 Substantiation of Dividend/Coupon income accrued against the expected PnL.\xc2\xb7 Reconciliation of Trader\'s Risk products and positions to Firm books and records and investigation and resolution of breaks.\xc2\xb7 Monitoring of specific system error queues, which require investigation and resolution to ensure the trade flows downstream.\xc2\xb7 Reconciliation of internal interest rate swaps.\xc2\xb7 Processing upcoming swaps maturities.\xc2\xb7 Investigation and resolution of realised cash flow breaks.\xc2\xb7 Production and distribution of swap reporting highlighting specific exceptions that require specific actions to resolve.The role involves liaising with the regional Equity & FID Derivative Middle Office Teams & Management, the Finance Control Group, IT and other operational support areas to ensure that controls are maintained and breaks are understood and resolved in a timely manner.Primary Responsibilities\xc2\xb7 Perform daily reconciliation/substantiation per procedures, investigating exceptions and determining which adjustments, if any, are needed to correct the books and records\xc2\xb7 Liaising with other client\'s teams (in Operations, Technology, Finance as appropriate) to resolve exceptions at root\xc2\xb7 Frequent communication and escalation of issues to GOPC managers and external stakeholders as appropriate\xc2\xb7 Provide inputs to management information on a regular (e.g. weekly risk reports) and ad hoc basis as requiredSkills Required (Essential)Qualifications\xc2\xb7 Minimum Bachelor or Masters\' degreeExperience\xc2\xb7 1-2 years\' experience preferredCompetencies\xc2\xb7 Product Knowledgeo Exposure and understanding of Equity and Fixed Income Derivative Productso Exposure and understanding of Corporate Actions\xc2\xb7 Exercises sound judgment and analysiso Comprehends and reasons - Displays well developed ability to comprehend, reason and process complex data.o Demonstrates excellent attention to detail when analyzing or interpreting data.o Breaks down problems/issues into smaller, more manageable parts.o Asks appropriate questions to source and validate data in order to support comprehensive analysis; consults subject matter experts where needed.o Skillfully identifies problems, builds solutions, and applies lessons learned to parallel situations.o Anticipates problems / obstacles and understands the ramifications to business.
