Job Description

The Financial Analyst role will be to work along with the team in providing research and analytics of publicly trading companies in USA, Europe and Asia, including India. Focus is on understanding key drivers of business, valuation, and investment thesis. Job will include data gathering, monitoring, and analytics, building financial models and predictive models. Opportunity to learn investment management and financial services in a hands-on manner, working closely with an experienced team.

Key responsibilities include:

- Write research reports to evaluate IPOs and Follow-On offerings of publicly traded companies

- Valuation analysis

- Data analysis of trades done by Funds

- Reconcile transactions and correcting data in the daily positions file

- Conduct industry research and analysis

- Develop varied industry expertise, and stay updated on industry developments

- Develop an understanding of the underlying trends that affect the capital markets

- Historical model building and developing forecasts, 3 Statement modelling

- Extensive company valuation involving approaches such as DCF, DDM, Trading and transaction multiples, EVA etc

- Extensive report-writing including company profiles, earning notes, quarterly updates, initiating coverage reports, sector reports, newsletters technology primers, Flash notes, Theme-based reports etc

- Listen to and summarize investment conference calls and even conducting management interviews

- Develop road-show presentations in power point

Qualifications: Bachelors in Commerce, B.Tech with Economics minor, Masters in Economics, or MBA from a reputed institute. Highly proficient in MS Excel and Power point.

Specialized knowledge:

- Knowledge of Tableau, SQL, and/or statistical packages such as R, will be an added advantage

- Worked on Bloomberg or FactSet

Abilities:

- Quantitative abilities, distinctive problem-solving and excellent analysis skills

- Good writing skills a must, passion for Research

- Academic strength, strong teamwork, communication skills and a high energy level

Experience: 3 to 5 Years of Relevant Experience, Professional Certification like CFA an advantage
