What You'll Do:Work from the Pune office on a hybrid modelReporting: Manager (Implementation Services)We're building cloud-based tax compliance solutions to manage global transactions, from everyday purchases to digital services.As part of the Avalara Go-Live/Implementation team, your role is to provide exceptional service to customers, enhance satisfaction, and support the creation of customer-focused processes. You'll work on New Product Introductions, customer onboarding, and strategic projects like Instantaneous Go Live and Self-Serve.This role involves, driving adoption of new products within the implementation team, collaborating across departments. What Your Responsibilities Will Be:Responsibilities:

  • You will manage a diverse portfolio of over 150 customers throughout the implementation process of Avalara's tax compliance automation solutions.
  • You will guide customers in strategizing the implementation of Avalara's tax automation suite to align with their business operations and industry standards.
  • You will monitor and document important milestones, deadlines, potential risks, and customer interactions associated with implementations.
  • You will also collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate project management activities.
  • You will also provide comprehensive support to customers by addressing inquiries, tracking issues, and ensuring the resolution or escalation of issues following company protocols.
  • You will have to deliver assistance to end-users during the onboarding phase.
  • You should maintain accurate records in internal implementation tracking systems for transparent cross-departmental visibility and reporting.
  • You will have to follow established implementation standards and procedures.
  • You will have to manage a portfolio of ~150+ customers as they implement Avalara's tax compliance automation products
  • Help customers plan their Avalara tax automation implementation to align with business processes and best practices.
  • Track key implementation aspects, including tasks, dates, risks, and customer interactions.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners during the project management process.
  • Support customer success by answering questions, tracking issues, and resolving or escalating problems.
  • Provide training and support during customer onboarding.
  • Update internal tracking systems for accurate visibility and reporting.
  • Follow established implementation standards and procedures.
What You'll Need to be Successful:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing customer relationships in a dynamic service environment, Two or more years of experience in software implementation, within the B2B realm.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
  • Assess customer needs promptly, and tailor instructions and training accordingly.
  • Passionate about ensuring customer success and dedicated to ongoing personal and professional growth.
  • Preferably comfortable working night shifts.
  • Familiarity with Sales and Use Tax concepts
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Jira, Gainsight, Troubleshooting & Ticketing Tools
  • Experience installing and configuring multiple ERPs, such as WooCommerce, Sage, Dynamics, Salesforce, NetSuite, and QuickBooks.
  • Prior exposure to tax automation software implementation or experience in tax-related roles.
  • Knowledge of APIs
