Job Purpose
The role demands a seasoned professional with extensive experience, a comprehensive understanding of Transport network (IP/MPLS and DWDM etc) and the ability to lead complex projects and initiatives. Strong technical knowledge, leadership skills and a focus on customer experience are critical for success in this role.
Transport Head's role is pivotal in ensuring the success of Vodafone Idea India by strategically managing and optimizing the transport network, thereby positively impacting customer experience, retentions, cost efficiency and overall competitiveness in the telecommunication industry.
The actions aims to provide a structure approach to fulfilling the outlined responsibilities in the circle network operations are:
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize the transport network in circle/cluster.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the transport network in the field
• Drive the circle transport operations teams for end-to-end Transport & Enterprise operations and coordinate with cross functional teams for better service experience
• Plan and execute deployment activities for IP, DWDM and access optics networks. Collaborate with deployment teams to ensure timely and efficient implementations
• Responsible for end-to-end enterprise services including feasibility, delivery and assurance
• Implement measures to minimize MTTR and maximize uptime
• Analyze network performance data and take proactive steps to improve reliability.
• Implement preventive maintenance procedures and corrective actions as needed for transport stability & efficiency.
• Implement strategies to improve mobility & enterprise service uptime.
• Evaluate and deploy technologies or process to enhance service reliability.
• Preparing Operational practices and practice adherence
• Responsible for providing strategic leadership to Enterprise teams delivering Vi services to the customers at Circle and govern the deliverable KPI's to the Enterprise Business and to the Enterprise customers.

• Single point of contact in managing the circle transport and enterprise service operations.
• Set and achieve industry best performance benchmarks, continuously improving network efficiency, reliability and performance to meet or exceed industry standards
• Ensure the transport network is robust, reliable and capable of delivering seamless experience for customers, thereby customers satisfaction & retentions.
• Optimizing network resources, minimising downtime and implementing cost-effective solutions to ensure operational excellence.
• Implementing various transport strategies to enhance network capabilities & reliability.
• Drive network expansions and adopting innovations that align with the organisations missing and objectives.
• Monitor and improve field practice related to transport operations and deployments.
• Conduct regular site & customers visits, analyze network performance and take proactive steps to enhance service reliability.
• Spearhead various consultation on solutions to business and technology functions to deliver innovative, first time right products and services to Enterprise Customers.
• End-to-End ownership for enterprise Customer Life cycle management teams such as feasibility , service delivery and service management of all Enterprise products like NPLC, ILL, MPLS, SIP, PRI, VICPN, Cloud , SD-WAN, MSS, and Wifi.
Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience
This role demands a seasoned professional with extensive experience, a comprehensive understanding of telecom networks and the ability to lead complex projects & initiatives.
• Strong technical knowledge (IP, DWDM, Optics, Cloud, SDWAN etc), leadership skills and a focus on customer satisfactions
• Over 15 years of experience in IP/MPLS, Optics and Enterprise operations.
• Leadership in driving change and adapting new ways of working.
• Strong analytical and vendor management skill.
• Ability to handle adverse situations, strong negotiation skills, self-motivated and passionate about work.
• Competitive, Strategic thinking and agile.
Must have technical / professional qualifications
• BE / BTech in Electronics & Telecommunications.
• CCNP, Cloud and SD-WAN certification
• In depth understanding of various technologies such as LTE, 5G, Cloud, SD-WAN, IP/MPLS, DWDM and Enterprise products & service offerings
• 15 -18 years of experience in Telecom with minimum 10 years in managing large scale transport network
