Job Summary

: We are seeking an experienced General Manager/Asst. General Manager - Quantity Surveyor to lead our quantity surveying department. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in infrastructure projects, particularly in Solar project construction. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills who can manage complex projects, drive cost-efficiency, and ensure high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

:

Lead and manage the quantity surveying team in the execution of Solar projects.

Oversee the preparation of budgets, cost plans, and estimates for all projects.

Ensure accurate measurement and valuation of work completed, managing all financial aspects of contracts.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Negotiate contracts and agreements with contractors and suppliers.

Review and approve final accounts and contract closures.

Monitor project progress and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Develop and implement cost control strategies to maximize efficiency.

Mentor and develop junior quantity surveyors, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

:

Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

A master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., RICS) would be advantageous.

15+ years of experience in quantity surveying, with significant experience in Solar projects.

Proven leadership skills with experience managing large teams.

Excellent knowledge of cost management, contract administration, and procurement processes.

Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools.

Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ?2,500,000.00 per year
