Job Purpose



Ensure circle/cluster is compliant in all legal matters/governance





Key Result Areas/Accountabilities



• Timely evaluation and issue Notices as per business team requirements and keep informed the business team.
• Reply Notices post critical assessment of the subject along with the business team.
• Engage with the Leadership team periodically to understand the business requirements and draft necessary Contracts, SOPs, Notices for appointment / Termination/Renewal of Vendors/Partners, etc
• Work in close coordination with the HR team on conducting statutory audits and employee-related compliances and also effectively handle matters before labour Tribunals and Courts
• Deliver commercial value through effective circle litigation management-including reduction in numbers and fees thereby effective and optimal utilization of resources and budget at the circle.
• External network management and Budgeting
• Researching and anticipating unique legal issues that could impact the business under the current portfolio and thereby establish best practices.
• Such other activities as would be assigned from time to time based on business requirements.



Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience



• Working computer and IT familiarity with an ability to do legal research, develop and improve processes, and apply technology to the Legal Department workflow
• Must have 10+ years of post-qualification experience as an in-house legal counsel with a reputed organization.



Must have technical / professional qualifications



• Must have a Law Degree from a nationally recognized university, with a bar admission and good standing.
